  1. Half Moon Bay State Beach:<\/strong> This is a popular spot for camping, with four separate campgrounds that offer a range of amenities. The park is located right on the beach and offers stunning ocean views. It’s a great place for swimming, surfing, and fishing.<\/li>\n
  2. Pelican Point RV Park:<\/strong> This RV park is located just a few minutes from Half Moon Bay State Beach and offers full hookups, as well as restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. It’s also close to several restaurants and shops.<\/li>\n
  3. Half Moon Bay RV Park:<\/strong> This RV park is located right in the heart of Half Moon Bay and offers full hookups, restrooms, and showers. It’s close to several restaurants and shops, as well as the beach.<\/li>\n
  4. Francis Beach Campground:<\/strong> This is another great campground located right on the beach. It offers a range of amenities, including restrooms, showers, and picnic tables. The beach is great for swimming, surfing, and fishing.<\/li>\n
  5. Mavericks RV Park:<\/strong> This RV park is located just a few minutes from Half Moon Bay and offers full hookups, as well as restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. It’s also close to several restaurants and shops.<\/li>\n
  6. Costanoa Coastal Lodge, Camping and RV Park:<\/strong> Costanoa offers the unique opportunity to experience outdoor living in comfortable stylish surroundings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    No matter which camping or RV park you choose in Half Moon Bay, you’re sure to have a great time enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery and all that this area has to offer.<\/p>\n

    If you are looking for a\u00a0campsite along the beach, we suggest checking out Half Moon Bay State Beach. It’s a beautiful setting with panoramic ocean views and close to the City of\u00a0Half Moon Bay. Please note that it can get busy – especially on the weekends from both overnight and day use. Also, some of the larger RVs can create a lot of noise from their external generators.<\/p>\n

    Another coast RV park option is\u00a0Pillar Point Harbor RV Park. It also has great ocean views and it is located close to surfer beach and the harbor. The main drawback with this park is it is located right next to Highway 1, so expect traffic noise \u2014 especially during the day.<\/p>\n

    Butano State Park \u2014 RV Parking and Tent Camping<\/h2>\n

    Located 25 miles south of Half Moon Bay on Hwy. 1, the park has miles of trails, which serves hikers and equestrians, links Big Basin to Castle Rock State Park and the eastern reaches of the Santa Cruz range. Maps<\/a><\/p>\n

    A 2,200-acre redwood park in the Santa Cruz Mountains, featuring excellent hiking through the redwood groves. Only three miles from the Pacific coast, the park’s trails offer views of the Pacific Ocean and the A\u00f1o Nuevo islands.<\/p>\n

    The park is made up of 499 acres and provides an opportunity to view old-growth redwoods. It has a picnic area, visitor center, camp store, a creek swimming area, and campfire programs.<\/p>\n

    The park is known for its family camping and the Tan Oak and Mt. Ellen Nature Trails.<\/p>\n

    Portola Redwoods State Park \u2014RV Park & Campgrounds\"Portola<\/a><\/h2>\n

    The park has a rugged, natural basin forested with coast redwoods, Douglas fir and live oak. Eighteen miles of trails crisscross the canyon and its two streams, Peters Creek and Pescadero Creek.<\/p>\n

    The park has a\u00a055-site family campground,\u00a04 group campsites, and a\u00a0trail camp\u00a0for backpackers. It also protects some of the most remote and scenic redwoods in the region, the\u00a0Peter\u2019s Creek Grove.<\/p>\n

    Sam McDonald Park\u00a0 — San Mateo County Park<\/h2>\n

    Located approximately 3 miles west of La Honda on Pescadero Road, the park is a unique 850-acre facility, is . The park actually represents contrast between two separate natural environments. The northwesternly half, near 400 acres between Pescadero Road and Highway 84, is principally a lush growth redwood forest. The 450-acre portion, southeasterly , is primarily open ridge, grassy knolls and patchy brush areas. From this ridge area, vistas of the Butano and Skyline Ridges, and the Pacific Ocean can be seen.<\/p>\n
