Extreme Fire Danger

Please be safe…

August 2020 saw some of the biggest wildfires in California’s history. Massive losses of forest acreage, homes and businesses. And, unfortunately, we are just now entering the peak fire season. Please be extremely careful and stay safe.

Those that aren’t directly impacted by the fires are still falling victim to the smoke from the fires. The air quality can become extremely hazardous for people living miles away from the fire source.

Also, be aware that many business have been impacted and you should always make sure that they are still open. Santa Cruz Mountains was heavily damage this year, so the impact on Christmas tree farms can be devastating.

Covid-19

Generally speaking, County precautions are in place. They include social distancing, use face masks, no indoor dining, no large groups, etc. Please note that these restrictions can change depending on infection rates. Also, many venues are temporarily closed due to Covid-19, so be sure to contact any vendors before you go to verify if they are open and what level of safety measures are in place.

Generally, most people are keeping others safe by wearing face masks. All the stores and restaurants that I visited were implementing all county measures. Please note that restaurants in particular have limited outside seating and no indoor dining.

Please check with local authorities for more detailed Covid-19 information.
