The Sonoma TrainTown Railroad is a tourist railroad and 10 acre amusement park in Sonoma, California. Its main feature is a 15 in gauge miniature railway, which closely corresponds to a 1:4 scale model of a 4 ft 8 ¹⁄₂ in standard gauge railroad. Wikipedia

It is rated between 4 and 4.6 stars on the top review sites and it deserves it! When our daughter was younger, we always made it a point to go at least once during our visit, and she always loved it. Although most of the amusement rides cater to the younger crowd, all ages will appreciate the some of the bigger rides like the Ferris Wheel and miniature train ride.

The 20 minute train ride travels through tunnels and well landscaped scenery and stops at a small miniature ghost town specially developed for TrainTown.  While there, you can explore the buildings and feed animals at the petting zoo.

Depending on the time of year, they may have reduced staff that rotates between the rides and ticket sales can be slow.
