Sonoma, CA — Located on the northwest side corner of the Sonoma Plaza, the restaurant has been serving lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch since 1997. With a quaint interior and a good sized patio, it’s a perfect restaurant for just about any occasion. The food ranges from a ham & gruyere cheese sandwich with side salad ($9) to duck confit ($29) to steak and frites ($26).
Some label the food French cuisine, I would call it more California cuisine.
The restaurant’s own Sonoma garden provides many of the restaurants fresh vegetables. Their French inspired cocktails use fresh ingredients including — you guessed it — figs, vegetables and fruits.
It is a little pricey, so we generally reserve this restaurant for special occasions or our one big vacation splurge.
It has excellent food and service. Most rating sites give it 4.5+ stars.
