Lemos Farm is a family-owned and operated farm located just east Half Moon Bay on Highway 92. The farm has been around since 1942 and is a popular destination for families, school groups, and tourists alike.
One of the main attractions at Lemos Farm is their petting zoo, where visitors can interact with a variety of animals, including goats, rabbits, chickens, pigs, and more. In addition to the petting zoo, the farm also offers pony rides, train rides, and a hayride tour of the farm. The farm also hosts seasonal events throughout the year. During the Halloween season, they deck the farm with spooky theme decorations and sell a variety of pumpkins.
Explorer1.com Review—This family farm specializes in year-round activities for children such as pony rides, tractor/train rides, petting zoo, etc. Adults may find the seasonal decorations and crowds a little much, but children seem to love it!
Major rating websites rate Lemos Family Farm 3.5 to 4.2 stars. We rate it a solid 3.9 stars. Because younger kids seem to love this place and they do have a nice variety of activities, we think Lemos is a good option for families with younger children. Do note, though, that some of the activities can be a bit cheesy and lack luster. Another issue is overcrowding making it difficult to social distance. Also, Highway 92 can slow to a snail’s pace making it extremely difficult to enter and exit the farm.
